This is actually the one I wanted to review last time. Someone forgot to log out of my amazon account before buying stuff, so I got multiple emails about these books being shipped, much to my own horror. (Thankfully they were sane enough to use their own credit card) Long story short, I thought this one would be here first, and was what I was expecting yesterday when I ripped open the amazon package.

So I instead decided to torture myself by reading both of them, though the back cover of this one makes it sound even worse.

Added: I wrote all of this while I was reading it, so I had no idea what to expect. While it isn't as a bad as the last one in terms of romantic content, it's... terrible in a lot of other ways.

-I've finally made a DW account I'll use occasionally: chaos_cat I originally wasn't going to use it beyond communities, but I hate how lj is now forcing us to use this ugly as hell posting format. I just... no. I'll probably be crossposting from there as I just hate looking at this. Add me if you have it?

- MSN - or rather Skype - is pissing me off. It wouldn't let me send IMs nor let me receive them, so first I tried fixing it, and when that didn't work it automatically updated to skype? Which terrified me, let me just say, suddenly seeing an image of my face on the computer screen is not my idea of a fun time, lol. I put a tape over the webcam just in case I accidentally hit something, ugh, fuck you microsoft. I can't even change my font color any more.

So... I don't know how else to say this, so I'll just be blunt: My uncle died, and I only saw him once a year (or even less depending on whether or not I could find an excuse to get out of family gatherings) so I can't say I really... However, he was one of the relatives I actually sort of liked so I'll miss him at those family gatherings.

More to the point, since my other family members aren't that internet savvy they wanted me to help sell his stuff. ... but I went there and we counted nearly 500 figurines. I had no idea where to start and they weren't much help. (And frankly, I don't think they're really... worth much since they're out of the box and many of them are a little old.) They mainly fall into 4 categories:

1. Comic Book Stuff -> Particularly, Superheroes. Lol, he was apparently very different from me as there are very, very few villains. (I did spot The Creeper, but then, he's not a villain in every appearance...) There's just about every hero you can imagine (minus the X-men), including a ton of Flash variants I didn't recognize - I think there's more Flash stuff than anything else- and even ones that don't seem popular, like Dr. Fate. Then of course there's popular ones like Captain America and Thor. (As I don't have much interest in the heroes, I just took a really old Zatanna I found, heh. She's hanging out with Terra from FFVI as I only have like... 3 other figurines)

2. Star Wars Stuff -> Hundreds of them, even just like... random aliens!
3. Star Trek Stuff -> I don't really know this well enough to know what all these are, but yeah
4. Stuff from B-rated horror movies -> ... this is another thing I know nothing about. They're monsters and such things?

There's also a lot of stuff from random shows, like I found some from Futurama and proceeded to troll my other family members by asking them if they wanted Richard Nixon's head with a "=D" expression. (I'm 5 easily amused and their reactions were just hilarious, okay)

Some of them are in nice shape too, here's the stuff from just one shelf: 1 2 3. Just ask for a character from any of the above 4 and I'm sure it's there somewhere.

The only anime I saw was Cowboy Bebop, though.

Since I'm part of the What To Do With This Stuff committee (they actually promised me money for this because they just don't want to deal with it, so...) and most of what I've been finding online for these says that they're not worth much at all anymore, would anyone be interested in any of this or know anyone who would? I'd rather ask this first before selling it all in bulk on ebay in desperation or just having a tumblr giveaway thing with it. Doesn't help that I have no clue what the sci-fi monsters are called

One of my uncles just wants to toss it all, and I think that would be a real shame if someone actually wants them. (... and it's kind of sad, I guess? I mean this is what he spent his life doing - because of various health problems he couldn't really get a job or be independent or anything - so if it just gets tossed it's a bit...)

And I'll send overseas! Just hopefully the mail won't eat anything this time, as it seems to have some of the cards I sent to the other side of the world D:

(I guess you could argue that all of this is part of why God wants to destroy the world in this game, but hey. The fact I'm convinced half the cast is gay doesn't help)

Also with screen #2, the "do something even more cruel to me" one: I'm really amused by how Chaotic Neutral and Chaotic Evil humanoid demons all seem to have some kind of gun kink, as that's the response you get if you point a gun at them. (Light/Good or Law demons just get pissy and fight back jee I wonder why. Neutral ones tend to change the topic) Speaking of, I found this while searching for other things, and it's a different game, but... lol:

Although I had to take a cat to the vet as she was covered in red spots and she seems to have had an allergic reaction? We have no clue to what, but they gave her a shot and now she's completely healed. I kind of wish I knew what caused it though >> There's also something... more serious that I probably shouldn't put here, heh.

Due to the announcement of SMT vs. Fire Emblem I tried to play Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn again. I barely got past the prologue this time lol I got further the first time but.

So, for the sake of it for those, AN COMPARISON OF THE INTROS OF THESE TWO GAMES JUST TO SHOW HOW CRAZY THIS IDEA IS. (No spoilers since it's just the first 20 or so minutes of both games?):

Then I remembered why I never managed to beat this game and gave up. In it's defense, the battle system / gameplay is very good and complex, but storywise + peradeath = yeah, no. (Case in point: reviews of the game never mention the story, just the battle system as that seems to be what they're graded on.)

And now for the intro to SMT III: Nocturne, from memory and just for comparison, hahaha.

I feel like I should add something more to this, but uh yeah, I'll write a personal entry later. Right now I'm just too damn amused by this. I just... can't...

Redoing my personality stamps post since I now have too many to not have thumbnails, and some of the comments about the characters looking alike on the last one no longer makes sense now that I have so many. XD That, and this time I decided to join the bandwagon and add commentary as well. I was a bit reluctant about this, since the stamps are so pretty, but since animangarate and animationstamps just opened, I imagine the list will only continue to grow. I tried to use part of the stamp in the thumb if it was possible, at least.

(Like last time, these are only recent stamps from 2011 -> present.)

I just love them didn't you know.

In actuality, they're all my mother ever reads. I was trying to get her to read better books, and eventually made a deal that she'd read one of mine if I read one of hers.

When she asked me what I thought after the first chapter, she seemed pleased by my "It's hilarious! :D" response, so I don't think she understands the concept of hilariously bad. (And apparently forgot that there's nothing that could be perceived as intentionally funny in the first chapter. Or any chapter.)

And before I begin, let's have grace. Thank you, alcohol, for helping me through this, and music that's completely mismatched for this book for keeping my sanity intact!

Since I only signed up for the lols since I know my roommate used it and then I realized they had a personality quiz, so I was curious what it would actually give me-- I was going to delete my profile right afterwards. Lmfao, I expected it to at least find me another troll... XD

To be fair, it did ask me a lot of inane questions like whether or not I cared what ethnicity my match was (I don't) or how tall they are (again, I don't), but that makes it even more amusing, since I don't care about a lot of those superficial things. I think maybe the atheism might've ruined me for other people though XD Well, that, and my horrible personality, since it gives you a personality profile at the end and these this is part of it (it's really long, I'm only picking certain parts):

I love how it seems to think I'm some rigid, uncaring person just because I'm independent, lol. I think I'm supportive of the people I like - or at least I try to be - even if I'm not so caring of people who annoy me.

(+there were two other sections, but I thought they were even more inaccurate, lol. Apparently just because I'm not too introverted or extroverted I'm ~laid-back and amiable~ despite how the first section says otherwise.)
